Web Design & Development
Creating or updating a website can feel overwhelming, with endless options and advice out there.
Who can you trust to build it? Will there be contracts? Can you manage updates yourself? Those questions will be covered here, but if you have something specific in mind, feel free to get in touch.

Overview
Need a website but unsure where to start? Already have one that’s underperforming? Help is available.
If this sounds familiar, you may relate to some of these common frustrations:
- Your business needs a website, but you’re not ‘tech-savvy’ and don’t know where to begin.
- You’ve had a website built before, but it doesn’t meet your needs.
- You want more control over your website, but the way it’s designed makes updates nearly impossible.
- You’re unable to update your site because a previous developer didn’t – or won’t – show you how.
- You’d like a bespoke website, but most companies won’t provide a clear idea of costs upfront, which feels off-putting.
- Your current website offers a poor user experience, and business is being lost to competitors.
AllDesignOnline Solves Your Website Frustrations
At AllDesignOnline, a different approach is taken when working with clients to build a website, defined by three simple steps.
For a website to perform effectively, you need:
- A clear purpose for your website, its target audience, and your ongoing content and marketing strategy.
- A website that’s easy to update, expand and adapt as needed.
- An understanding that website content should be regularly reviewed, improved, and updated – either by you with the skills provided, or by us if preferred – to stay relevant and engaging for your audience.
With these three clear and effective steps, a successful website can be built together.
A website designed by AllDesignOnline is built with a clear goal: to create an easy-to-use platform that effectively communicates your message. Unless requested otherwise, it won’t rely on us for content updates.
This gives you the freedom to update and expand your site independently, without ongoing costs, allowing you to shape its direction.

Key Processes
What are the key processes in Website design & development you should consider?
Speak directly with your web designer and developer – no middlemen, just a personal, direct service.
This conversation is an opportunity to understand the challenges you’re facing, identify the support you need, and determine the best solution for you.
The key points covered are:
- What content you already have or may need to gather.
- Your long-term goals for the website and how future updates might affect decisions now, helping to avoid unnecessary costs and development.
- Who will manage content updates in the future and what training they may need.
- Any specific functionality required to meet your business needs.
Scope, Design and Development
Using the information provided, AllDesignOnline will produce a scope of work that outlines the following:
- Requirements overview
- Proposed solution
- Availability of content and required elements
- Project timeline
- Costs and terms

Once the scope of work and costs are agreed, we begin gathering source information and developing the initial design concept. This concept is presented for your review, and any requested revisions are made before resubmitting it for approval.
After design sign-off, development starts on our private server, which is not indexed by search engines. This allows us to share a web address for you to track progress without the site being publicly visible. Content and pages are added, and once complete, we request your final review of both the design and user journey, making any necessary adjustments to the development site.
Website Launch and Training
The exciting part – your new website goes live! After launch, we’ll monitor its performance to ensure everything is functioning smoothly and address any issues that may arise.
If included in the scope of work, we’ll provide training for your team (usually via video call) on two key areas of your new site:
- How to manage and update content using the content editor
- How to track website traffic and visitors
SEO
- What’s working and what isn’t
- Where visitors are leaving the site
- Whether visitors are converting (e.g., filling out a form or reaching a desired page)
- Areas that need improvement or content updates
As you add new content, it’s essential that it’s properly structured and optimised for performance.
AllDesignOnline provides ‘fundamental’ Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), covering the basic SEO standards like correct page structures, heading weights, meta tags, and UTM for external links.
However, AllDesignOnline is not an ‘SEO expert’. Just as a builder isn’t a civil engineer, we focus on SEO fundamentals.
Many designers and developers may claim to be SEO experts capable of getting you to the top of Google. While some may succeed, most are not being truthful. The level of expertise required to target specific audiences and drive conversions is a specialised skill in itself.
For clients who need advanced SEO, we refer them to a trusted partner we work with – an expert SEO company. We don’t receive commissions for this; we simply value working with honest professionals in an industry that’s often plagued by false promises.
Maintenance
You’ve had your new website built by AllDesignOnline – What’s next? Who looks after it and manages ongoing maintenance?
Most websites built by AllDesignOnline use WordPress, the world’s leading content management system (CMS). It’s a stable and well-supported platform that’s versatile enough to meet the needs of most clients. With vast online resources and support available, WordPress allows clients to fully manage their websites or easily transition to another design company in the future, without being tied to AllDesignOnline.
We also create websites using ASP .Net for niche projects – please contact us for more information.
As with all technologies, it’s important to keep things up-to-date to address any potential security vulnerabilities and to make sure you’re benefiting from the latest features in WordPress.
AllDesignOnline offers a simple monthly maintenance service for a small fee. Each month, we’ll:
- Back up your website and send a copy to your preferred location (e.g. SharePoint, OneDrive, Dropbox, etc.).
- Update the core WordPress version and plugins where applicable.
- Check that updates haven’t caused any issues with your site.
What if there is a problem?
If an issue arises as a result of an update, which is extremely rare, we’ll attempt to resolve it if it takes less than an hour. For more complex issues, we will roll the website back to its state before the update, discuss the problem with you, and provide an estimate for the cost of rectifying it.

Do AllDesignOnline work with everyone?
What defines a typical client for AllDesignOnline isn’t the industry you’re in, your turnover, or the size of your team.
Every purchase is a commitment, big or small. When you choose to work with AllDesignOnline, trust and open communication are key. It’s important that you understand what’s happening, why it’s happening, and how it impacts the progress of your project. Honesty forms the foundation of every productive relationship. At each stage, we’ll answer your questions and explain the steps, from pricing through to project completion.
That’s why we work with everyone, from individuals to large businesses, who share this approach.
I'm still not sure what I need or if AllDesignOnline are right for us?
If you’re unfamiliar with the process, it can be daunting or confusing – especially when it comes to websites, where there’s often a lot of mistrust and misinformation. You might wonder if AllDesignOnline can produce the type of work you’re looking for, or have specific requirements not covered on our website.
If you have any questions, just ask. We’ll provide you with an honest answer. If we believe we’re not the right fit for your needs, we’ll let you know. If you require a service that we can’t offer, we’ll do our best to help you find another company that can.
We hope it’s a project we can assist with, but if not, we’ll always provide a straightforward answer.
You mention WordPress - do you build other types of websites?
Yes, we absolutely do. WordPress features prominently in our content because the majority of our clients either request it or we recommend it as the best fit for their project. It offers a cost-effective yet flexible solution, allowing bespoke design and content to be integrated into a robust, globally supported Content Management System (CMS).
However, there are cases where WordPress may not be suitable. For example, if a client is using a Windows environment and requires the website to integrate with an existing system, such as a supply chain system in a warehouse. AllDesignOnline will assess your requirements and provide tailored advice. If we believe we cannot meet your specific needs, we’ll be upfront about it and help you find the right provider who can.
I already have a website, I just need some changes - do you do Ad-Hoc work?
Yes, we absolutely do. Many of our long-standing clients have come to us with an existing website where, for various reasons—such as a broken relationship with their previous provider or the original web development company becoming too busy—they are unable to get updates and simply need some changes made rather than a full rebuild.
For this type of work, we charge an hourly rate. We’ll assess the required changes and provide an estimate of the total cost, or a fixed price if applicable. You can read more about ad-hoc website work here.
Can I just ask for some advice?
Absolutely! Contacting AllDesignOnline to discuss a website or design project does not obligate you to work with us – though we certainly hope you do. Sometimes, you simply need to talk through a project to gain clarity on what you need and whether now is the right time to start. Feel free to contact us anytime via our contact page.
