Logo Design For A Growing Business
CS Physiotherapy

CS Physiotherapy is extremely knowledgeable and respected in the field of acquired and traumatic brain injury and spinal cord injury, offering specialist physiotherapy and expert witness services across West Oxford and London.
The Project
CS Physiotherapy initially approached AllDesignOnline after receiving a recommendation from an existing client of ours to discuss the possibility of establishing a new logo and brand for an existing but growing business.
After an initial Teams meeting to discuss the broad design direction, it was established that CS Physiotherapy would like a logo and colour scheme that were fitting to their services, but not a cliché physio-style image. They desired a modern colour scheme while still reflecting the personal nature and longevity of the relationships formed with clients undergoing neuro-physiotherapy treatment.
A number of design options were produced, each with a story or theme attached to them, and then a few variations of each of these designs were submitted for the first review. It was quickly narrowed down to two strong contenders: a brain and spinal cord in the shape of a tree with neurons as the leaves, and the second option, hands releasing a butterfly.
Rather than just relying on their own opinions, CS Physiotherapy sent the two logos to a selection of trusted clients and sought their feedback. The overwhelming consensus was the butterfly logo, which was then selected by CS Physiotherapy.
The concept behind the chosen logo is that physiotherapy is a journey and is typically goal-led. Those goals, specifically with neuro-related injuries, are to improve day-to-day living and enable clients to maximise their lives and find freedom from the injuries that can be life-limiting. The hands not only represent the human touch of physiotherapy but also the reassurance that CS Physiotherapy is always there to support clients. The butterfly is, of course, highly symbolic of the transition from chrysalis to the freedom of wings, which aligns with the concept of rehabilitation.
The colours chosen were actually from the brain and spinal cord tree concept, but CS Physiotherapy felt the core green colour was not only modern but also strong and natural, with the other highlight colours adding a little vibrancy to the green.
