Bespoke Designed 60th Invite
Individual

When a long standing client enquired whether AllDesignOnline could create a bespoke piece of artwork for their upcoming 60th birthday celebrations, it was a good opportunity to create something a little different to our normal work – plus the client is extraordinarily nice to work with, we were happy to help.
There were two stipulations, it had to include a very specific location where the weekend party was to be held and it had to include an image of the client – the challenge was on!
The Project
The brief from the client was simple but specific, a 60th birthday invite to a secret luxury weekend away that must show the location, without giving it away and contain the client as part of the image. The venue chosen was The Spa Chalet, Scarborough, a beautifully designed and very distinctive building built in 1860 overlooking Scarborough beach.
This presented it’s own challenge, the location and building are so well known the design needed to be subtle and use small elements of each. With regards to a theme, the client was open to ideas, providing it portrayed luxury and sophistication. To reflect this, AllDesignOnline created artwork that showed a glimpse of the Spa Chalet distinctive decorative balcony, the edge of the famous Grand Hotel all set around South Bay beach.
To portray the sense of occasion and glamour, we created the artwork in the style of Art Deco travel posters. It’s limited colour pallet and simplistic but accurate outlines complemented by elegant typography and framework of the invite, reflect Scarborough’s rise in popularity throughout the 1920’s and 1930’s. Finally, the client herself, Sofia, holding a glass of champagne looking across the bay, with just enough detail to reveal who it is, but without being a full portrait.
The finished artwork was printed on 300gsm card with a light gloss finish to enrich the colours and feel of the invite.
The Client Said...

I'm absolutely delighted with my invite created by AllDesignOnline! I had very specific ideas, and it was hard to picture how they would come together, but the finished artwork exceeded my expectations. It looks fantastic—thank you!
