Logo Redesign & Redevelopment As Part Of A Rebrand

Beamglow had an existing logo and colour scheme that had been in use for a number of years. As such, with design and trends ever evolving the established brand was starting to look a little dated and not reflecting the modern facilities and printing techniques Beamglow offer.
The brief for creating a new logo for Beamglow was clear; the logo should be modern and clean, using simple typography and establish a strong colour scheme that could be rolled out across all future branding, website redesign and social media channels.
AllDesignOnline’s response to this was to initially create one simple logo that could be used as a baseline to establish a colour pallet. A series of colour choices were presented to Beamglow using this logo, using one calming colour and one vibrant colour together to create an accent. Blue and grey were unanimously selected as the grey reflects the large corporate nature of Beamglow and the vibrant blue carries on the corporate feel but indicates a more modern business and way of working.
Once the colour scheme was established, work began on the actual logo. Beamglow had previously requested that the logo should be easy to recognise but not too cliché, i.e. logos depicting actual cartons or boxes. Using the ‘B’ as the main feature, variations of logos were created around this theme until after several review cycles, the new logo was selected.
The concept behind the logo is that the box should represent not only the work Beamglow carry out, but the strong and secure nature of Beamglow’s business and relationships they build. By removing an element of the ‘B’ but joining it to the box is reflective of Beamglow’s ability to adapt and change, to think differently whilst still being contained within the parameters of production limitations and remaining strong and trustworthy as a company.
